I think that people want very much to put something out there that is just a little bit removed from who they think they are.

Think about what makes people tell the same stories over and over again?

My father tells these stories about what he calls the good old days, but some of the stories are extremely saddening. So what is the point? I don't know but you have to think about the fact that people just don't forget, even the things that they want to forget, we are all just trying to come to terms with what is difficult in our lives, individually and collectively.

You can't help it that you have a past, you must find a way to make peace with the things that are in your past that cause you pain.

That is in a nutshell growing up.
